Pink Saturday - Lilies

Pink Saturday!
another stroll back in time - drawings from 2005.  One of my girls was born in January 2005 and was hospitalized for a week, I stayed with her.  Afterwards we were told not to go out with her as it was cold and flu season, so I spent nearly 8 weeks in the house with the baby.  I had received several flower arrangements with lilies and did a few drawings with water color pencils...

I really need to get my stuff organized and get back into it... I wasn't half bad and these are all rotting in my basement!

I can't believe those were in your basement. They are so beautiful, you should matte them and frame them. You really do have a talent and I think it is time to start indulge in it again. If it brings you happiness when you do it, I would find a spot in your house and find some time to create such beauty. Your really good.

Those are beautiful paintings! You are very talented. And 8 weeks is a long time not to leave the house! I actually did that too, but it was because of post-partum depression, not cold and flu season!

Hello Cailin Marie!
First I must say that I love the happy look of your blog and especially the Title!! So cute!!

Get those watercolor pencils out again and start painting!!! Your lily is so pretty and you are very talented and that talent shouldn't be wasted!!

How about framing and hanging it so you can see how wonderful it looks and think "HEY! I did that!!"

Thanks so much for sharing your art and the memory that went along with it.
Happy Pink Saturday on Sunday :-)

The second one is really a good use of color. I like it a lot. You should do these instead of learning cocktails! If you don't learn to make cocktails, then other people will probably keep making them for you, but they can't make your art.
