shrooms & mosquitos

There has been so much rain here lately and the mushrooms are popping up all over the place.  (It is a shame that we can't send it to our friends in the West, I have family in Texas and they report record dryness, the fields and the cattle need water)
We enjoy looking for mushrooms on walks and like to do so when the Tiger is at soccer practice, but the mosquitos seem to be thriving from all the rain as well.  They are "jurassic" sized this year and persistent.  I am looking forward to colder weather (they say it is coming this weekend) to dampen mosquito activity.  On this particular walk we began with enthusiasm but soon found the mosquitos to be too much and ran back to the car - pointing at mushrooms as we hurried past "look there is a red one!"  "look that one looks like a fairy house" "don't stop keep running!"
And so the above are all I have to share with you.

which I am linking to A Southern Day Dreamer's Outdoor Wednesday
